Description

This course is aimed a to students, architects, engineers and building professionals who are interested in new trends for the timber building sector and its advantages.

In this course we will talk about the different timber construction technologies with a special focus on CLT.
We will then analyze fire and seismic resistance tests done on timber buildings and deeply discuss about the current and future situation of timber construction in Greece and Cyprus.

Lastly we will explore the case study of an existing Mass Timber construction project from the point of view of the builder.
